LOCAL PROFESSIONALS
Mary Antoun, CEO of NAR; Kathy McGee; Buzz Mackintosh; ____; Mike Muren NEW ORLEANS - Three local real estate professionals from Mackintosh Inc., REALTORS' Frederick office were among nearly 30,000 members who recently attended the National Association of Realtors' 2006 Conference and Expo here. Stephen "Buzz" Mackintosh, Kathy McGee and Mike Muren participated in business meetings, political forums and educational training sessions which took place throughout the four-day event held at the Morial Convention Center and Riverside Hilton. Outside of the convention, Mackintosh and Muren also volunteered in a Habitat for Humanity project in which real estate professionals helped to construct houses for displaced residents in New Orleans' Musician Village. City officials estimated that the event helped to inject more than $34 million into the New Orleans economy, which has struggled to get back on track after the devastation caused by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005.

"It is our sincere hope that our contribution is just one of many that will help the thousands of people who have lost so much."
